Winter update with Zoe

1) How has the season been for you so far? How many times have you gone out?

Unfortunately my season has been pretty mellow, I had the un-lucky timing of starting off the season with a pretty major, but old, injury that came back to bite me so I have been spending a lot of time doing physio and trying to rehab myself back into shred-able shape. Though I have gotten probably around 20 days in already, most have been very mellow with no jumps allowed and a lot of straight hitting rails! Hoping to get the clear soon so I can start learning and throwing some new stuff asap!

2) What are your goals for this season? Any new tricks planned?

This season my goal is just to have as much fun as possible. I spent the last season stressing over competition too much and with my recent move to whistler I hope to focus on just learning new tricks and having as much fun as possible! I’m hoping to learn lots of new things this season but first on my to do list once I’m ‘back on skis’ is to just re-establish some staples!

3) Do you have any trips in mind for this season? Where?

Though living in whistler is kind of one big dream trip I still hope to do a little bit of travelling. In March I will once again probably head over to Sunpeaks for the Dew tour am series as last years competition was so much fun as well as hopefully heading down to Oregon in May in hopes of hitting up Mt. Hood and My. Bachelor!

Winter break with Anna

The past 17 days that I’ve spent in Fernie have been an absolute dream. There is truly nothing better in the world then skiing in fresh powder snow with your best pals. For me, ski season is the most magical time of the year and every day that I am out in the mountains is filled with endless smiles, laughter and pure love.

My season so far has been going great! It is awesome to get back on my skis again and to get back out to where I belong – in the mo untains! I am looking forward to competing on the IFSA Jr. big mountain circuit again this season, and am super stoked to be representing Tits Deep and the amazing motive behind this company. If any skier girls are around Kimberley, Fernie, Lake Louise, Kicking Horse, Whistler, or Castle Mountain this season, I would highly recommend checking out the competition. Check out for more information!

My main goal for this season is to have the most fun possible. I love competing and the rush that comes with it, but it is very easy to get too involved in rankings and points, and that’s when skiing has the ability to lose its appeal. I am skiing for myself this season and am hoping to have one of the best seasons yet!

Wishing you all the best in the New Year!

Keep shredding,

Pretty Faces

Hey! Exciting day for women in action sports!! The trailer for the Pretty Faces, all girl ski film as just been released!! It looks incredible! This is also a very special day because it marks the legendary ski star, Sarah Burke’s, day of birth. She was an amazing women and without the work she did to promote women in sports, there is no way we would be where we are today. All female athletes owe everything to Sarah and it is a shame that we lost such a shining light so early. Today we remember her and we celebrate the achievements that come with the assertion of girl power.
